    Apparently, I Review Things Now

I own a lot of stuff.

That may be understating the situation. I own enough movies and television shows to qualify as a poorly organized regional archive. I buy physical discs, collect digital copies, compare different releases, complain about bad 4K transfers, look up actors halfway through movies, and occasionally spend more time investigating where something can be watched than it would take to simply watch it.

And I paid for the vast majority of it. I chase deals of course, but some things you just have to preorder and hope it ships after payday. And I’m something of a completist, which isn’t always great. (Home Alone has 4 sequels!) Once, I managed to order some things from the Disney Movie Club just before they shut down. I wasn’t even able to pay for them, they were gone so quickly, so I did get those for free.

I genuinely love movies, television, books, music, games, and just about every other form of media people have invented to keep themselves entertained, informed, or awake far later than intended.

I’ve never really thought of myself as a collector, even though my apartment occasionally argues otherwise. Most of what surrounds me isn’t there because it’s rare or valuable. It’s there because, at one point or another, it managed to stick. A movie that stayed with me. A book I couldn’t stop thinking about. A puzzle that fought me every step of the way. A LEGO build that was fun enough to remember long after the last brick clicked into place. Even old technology that has long since outlived its practical use still finds a place on my shelves. Every shelf has a story attached to it, and if you ask about almost any object, I’ll probably tell you the story before I tell you what it is.

Considering how much of it I have and consume, how often I think about it, and how many opinions I clearly already have, it seems only natural that I should start reviewing some of it.

So I have created a new section called Reviews & Reactions. That is where longer reviews, shorter reactions, and whatever else happens when I watch something and cannot stop thinking about it will live.

This particular post will remain here in the regular jumble. The actual reviews can all be found in one place.
